Christmas Eve for us this year was spent tearing down props and returning all the things that were borrowed from our program the night before. As is tradition, every church had a Christmas eve service. We chose to celebrate Christmas eve with the Cidade de Deus congregation. They were one of our churches that for the 1st time put on a small play with their church children. We wanted to go and show our support of this new ministry. It was so cute and well done. We only got pictures of the platform because the Pr. asked us to record the program on our camera which limited any still shots.
After church, there was a church dinner. We had grilled steaks, grilled pork ribs, rice, pork loin, turkey, farofa, a shredded chicken and potato dish, fruit salad, and banana torte. A wonderful buffet at midnight. A full stomach to sleep on. We returned home around 2:30am.
